The post New Board for ENB Tourism Authority appeared first on Discover the South Pacific.Source: Blog The East New Britain Tourism Authority (ENBTA) has sworn in its new board members.The swearing in was held at Hotel Kokopo in the province’s capital by the senior provincial magistrate Sam Lavutul.The new board members include Ron Kuk as the chairman, Douglas Pidi as the deputy, Jack Namaliu as the finance director and Sandra Lau, representing Asia market. PNG Tourism Promotion Authority is represented by the CEO Jerry Agus, who also oversees special projects. Jack Walom represents the land transport sector, NasonPukai representing PNG Ports Limited and cruise ships while Air Niugini’s Robin Taman representing airlines are also part of the board. Other members include Tiolam Wawaga and Lava Girl owner, Annette Sete who is the secretary. Dr Simon Simet is another board member who is bestowed the responsibilities of culture. Pious Mano Kornainai, representing the four districts in the province, Kokopo, Rabaul, Gazelle and Pomio is also on the board.Chairman Mr Kuk reminded all the members of the challenges faced in the tourism industry in the province.He said partnership with other government sectors and the tourism industry players were other areas that the new board must continue to work at. Mr Kuk said a huge task lay ahead to make the province a must see for tourists, avenues to bring in tourists and generate benefits for the locals must be the main agenda.
